Volunteer Profiles
Memory Marshall & Shannon Nelson Evers
We first got involved volunteering with the CSPG in 2001 at the annual CSPG Convention – Rock the Convention. We were on the Special Events committee organizing the Core Meltdown. We had such a fun time organizing this event, that when asked by Gerry Reinson to become the Special Events Co-Chairs on his 2002 Diamond Jubilee Convention Committee – we immediately said yes. That experience prompted us to take on the role Co-Chairs of Marketing and Publicity for the I.C.E. 2004 Conference and enjoyed being involved in a different aspect of the Convention. The biggest benefit we see from being a volunteer with the CSPG is the personal satisfaction we get from being part of a team that has a lot of fun organizing this world class event. These experiences have been as much fun as they have been beneficial to meeting so many other folks from industry who have also volunteered their time. We have made some life-long friends and contacts through our volunteering with the CSPG.
Memory and Shannon both served on the Executive Committee in 2005 & 2006 as Directors of Programming & Services respectively.
