It comprises ten members, nine of whom are elected, including President, Vice President, Past President, Finance and Assistant Finance Directors, Program and Assistant Program Directors, and Service and Assistant Service Director; the Communications Director sits as an appointed member.
Elections are held annually for the junior position in each portfolio and the new members assume their roles at the AGM in January.

- confirming and expanding the CSPG's identity within the national geoscience community.

The CRC is responsible for developing and strengthening corporate relationships and alliances in support of CSPG sponsorship for Society events and/or other Society requirements.
The Corporate Relations Committee achieves its goals by:
- Developing a Corporate Relations Plan to achieve strategic objectives;
- liaising closely with committees to align their needs with Corporate sponsors;
- developing and maintaining a Corporate Recognition Program; and
- expanding and enhancing the CSPG's corporate relations throughout Canada.
