The Membership Committee needs Volunteers!

As an ongoing effort to maintain and improve the membership of the CSPG, we need your help!

The Membership Committee is charged with maintaining and increasing individual memberships within the CSPG. The income from individual memberships is a vital form of income for the CSPG and one that must continue to grow to ensure the operations of the CSPG are not compromised. The Membership Committee must clearly demonstrate the value and benefit of joining and maintaining a membership within the society to our members and perspective members. The simple benchmark of success of the Membership Committee is gauged by the number of members the society holds.

The Membership Committee needs to expand its current manpower base in order to pursue a number of opportunities intended to increase individual memberships, benefits, programs and services offered. Below are the four areas of responsibilities where volunteers are required:

1) Membership Recruitment:
- Review and establish programs to increase individual memberships locally in the Calgary community and nationally.

2) Membership Retention:
- Continue to ask the society's membership what it wants via the survey in order to keep current.

3) Membership Renewal:
- Follow up with those who have let their membership lapse

4) Membership Benefits:
- Review and understand the current benefits being offered to the CSPG members. Look for additional incentives that can be offered to members to increase value of membership.
