About the Bulletin
The Bulletin of Canadian Energy Geoscience is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published two times a year. Founded in 1953, the BCEG aims to be the journal of record for papers dealing with all aspects of energy geoscience, broadly conceived, with a particularly (though not exclusively) Canadian focus. Submissions are welcomed that address outstanding issues in energy geoscience, including, but not limited too, petroleum exploration and exploitation, unconventional resources, CO2 sequestration and gas storage, geothermal, indirect energy extraction (e.g., metals from brines), and associated environmental studies. We accept papers that deal with a wide range of datasets related to these broad themes of energy geoscience including sedimentary geology, reservoir geology, stratigraphy, organic, igneous, elemental, and isotope geochemistry, paleontology and biostratigraphy, structural geology, and tectonics. International perspectives are encouraged as they pertain to Canadian geoscience.
